Why work with me?
A brief biog: Jo Easingwood Roberts
I've worked closely with Directors of small charities as their Go-To Strategic Sidekick for over 15 years.
Bringing expertise in senior small charity consultancy and management, I specialize in helping small charities craft standout funding bids, refine impact reports, and communicate their work effectively. I have worked mostly in the UK (north and south of the border), and have supported directors, boards, and small teams to become sustainable through diverse funding. I was one of the first charity consultants in the UK to undertake SROI (Social Return on Investment) projects, to demonstrate charity impact. I've also provided training in fundraising to arts management students, and advised rural voluntary groups on becoming sustainable.
Why this matters: I bring a keen eye for detail, wordsmithing skills, a background including qualitative research (with Distinction), plus what a mentor called "chutzpah", and a knack for turning complex monitoring data and anecdotal evidence into compelling narratives funders can’t ignore.
Think of me as an extra team member—fully invested in your mission, cutting through the noise to highlight what truly matters. I can work together with you, with your Board, your team, your stakeholders, and the people you help.
If you’re a small charity looking for expert support that feels like part of your team, let’s chat.
Let’s See What We Can Achieve Together
The first step is often the hardest—so let’s make it easy. I offer a free first-hour consultation, giving you a chance to see how I can help strengthen your bids, reports, or funding applications with no upfront commitment. It’s a risk-free opportunity to refine a piece of work and get a feel for how we could work together. If it feels like a good fit, we can explore affordable options for continued support.
How does that sound?
